EAC Housing for Older People Awards 2010

These awards were partly funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government, and by the Housing LIN of the DH Care Networks. The core sponsors were the Nationwide Building Society and Legal & General.

Other organisations and companies contributed to the success of this first run by sponsoring prizes, supporting and advertising the awards or taking up a stand at the main event:

		Dhu Rural

The nomination process, in its first year, has been a great success with over 540 group entries by 2140 residents, and positive feedback from both residents and managers. 32 finalists, all winners have been selected by a computer programme moderated by the 3 judges.

Raffle: 20 groups of residents have each received a cheque for £100, to be spent on their advice for the benefit of their scheme.
