At last the retirement housing sector has its own dedicated awards.
At the inaugural event at Lords on Feb 4 around 340 guests, including designers, providers and managers of retirement housing and over 100 elderly residents were present to see 32 Awards handed out across 11 categories of retirement housing and housing with care.

Several housing providers received their first ever QI Mark Awards this week: Alpha Housing Association for its sheltered schemes in Portadown and Newtownabbey; Trafford Housing Trust for Victoria Court in Streford, Manchester; Westcountry Housing Association for 'Markers' in Cullompton, Devon; and newcommer Pinnacle for its Ruscoe Road scheme in East London. Meanwhile Cairn Housing Association notched up its 35th Award for Tyne Lodge in Edinburgh.
