Asian Community Day Centre in WandsworthWhat does it do?
| The Day Centre provides a place for older people to come to during the day and meet other people of the same age. This interaction prevents isolation at home and enables clients to take part in recreational activities and generally have a good time. |
| Clients can get involved in many activities such as exercise, therapy and yoga sessions which have been adapted specifically for older members of the community. Clients also play games, go on outings and sing religious songs. |
| We also have a number of local services that frequently provide free dental and optical checks for our clients. All members of our staff are trained to a high level. We continuously monitor our staff and train them on a regular basis, so that we at Asian Elders Support Scheme can continue to grow and improve all aspects of our service. |
| The Day Centre is fully suitable for disabled and wheelchair access. Clients will also have access to disabled toilet facilities. All furniture in the Day Centre has been specifically chosen to increase the comfort of our clients. |
