What does it do?

The Help at Home service provides help and support with daily household tasks and gardening. We offer a safe and personal service

What is Help at Home?

Help at Home is a well-respected and valuable competitive domestic service that has been established in Brighton for 20 years. We have now expanded and cover from Saltdean through to Southwick, reaching out to almost all areas in and around the city of Brighton & Hove. The Help at Home service is key in providing continual support and peace of mind for extended family living miles away and is a link to the outside world.

What does the service offer?
We aim to provide a safe and personalised service to clients aged 65+, offering practical support with daily household tasks and garden maintenance. Our home helps carry out domestic chores, such as cleaning, laundry and shopping. Clients are to provide cleaning equipment and materials. Garden maintenance is available on request. No garden refuse removed. (Tools and equipment to be provided by client).

Help at Home does not provide:
- Personal care
- a deep cleaning service
- meal preparation

What it costs:

How much does it cost?

The subscription fee to Age UK Brighton and Hove is £30 every three months (reduction for Standing Order payment)
Recommended rate for domestic help is £8.50 per hour.
Recommended rate for garden maintenance is £10.50 per hour
Recommended rate for shopping is £10.50 per hour
(Based on a minimum of two hours weekly or fortnightly)
