Balanced Lives programme improves older people's health and wellbeing

What does it do?

The Balanced Lives programme is delivered to groups of around 20 people on a weekly basis, with each session run by an Action for Elders Facilitator and Co-ordinator.

It aims to benefit participants by:
Preventing or reducing the number of falls causing injuries.
Increasing mobility.
Reducing social isolation.
Providing certain clinical benefits-such as weekly health checks.
Increasing individuals’ independence, dignity and self-respect.
Enhancing quality of life and well-being.

Who it is for?

People of around 75 and older
