Fosterfield Day Centre

Day Centre in Chorley

What does it do?

Fosterfield Day Centre is situated in the small town of Chorley. We are open seven days a week, 9.00am – 5.00pm, and can offer some flexibility in these times to meet your individual needs. We have onsite parking and a fully accessible drop off point close to the main entrance to assist wheelchair users and visitors with very limited mobility.

We deliver care that is tailored to the individual and do not discriminate against any person’s needs. We encourage all service users to contribute their own ideas and experiences to help develop their potential and that of the service.

One of our main objectives is to support the carer as well as the person they are caring for. We value carers as much as the service users themselves.

Fosterfield Day Centre is equipped with a range of aids and adaptations for those with physical disabilities and those experiencing dementia. We offer a wide variety of activities within a caring and stimulating environment.

Our social and recreational activities enable you to maintain your everyday skills and independence. Further activities include a daily exercise session, discussion groups, playing board games, craft work including card making, knitting and sewing, relaxation sessions, ‘Sing a longs’, dancing, reminiscence sessions, water colour painting, country runs, shopping trips, entertainers for special events, information sessions and much more.

We also have a television to watch those all important events that can’t be missed and a DVD player. The centre has computer facilities for service users to use.
A two course meal is offered at lunch time with refreshments available all day. The centre caters for any special diets as required.

Transport to and from the Centre is also available.
