Spring Bank Court Daycare Centre

What does it do?

Daycare is provided Monday to Friday at our Spring Bank Court Daycare Centre for mentally and/or physically frail older people enabling older people to continue to live in their own homes or with a carer.  Transport to and from the centre is provided by specially adapted, wheelchair accessible minibuses with trained escorts.

A wide range of therapeutic and stimulating activities including traditional games and handicrafts, armchair exercise, music sessions and entertainment are on offer in addition to personal care services such as bathing and hairdressing. A freshly cooked meal is provided at lunchtime with all dietary needs catered for.

How to access or apply for it:

Access to daycare at Spring Bank Court is through a referral from Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council's Adult Services Department following an assessment of need.

 You can contact the Adult Social Care Team from 8.45am to 5pm, Monday to Friday on (01254) 587547.
