What does it do?

The Centre provides a good environment for social interaction and supports people to take part in various mental and physically stimulating activities which are tailored to the individual preference of service users.

Opportunities include:Social interaction , extension of everyday activities, boredom alleviation, mental and physical stimulation, carers and families usually take this as a day to rest and enjoy with the sense of security that their cared for person being well taken care of.
 
Service users are often motivated to take part in all the Centre's activities.  Most of the activities at the Centre are service user specific as different people enjoy doing different things.  In this way we promote individuality.
 
Activities include: Creating scrapbooks/memory books/life history books, painting gardening, cooking and baking.
 

The staff at the Day Centre work to promote a more service led environment, preserve dignity, promote independence and offer chances.  Each person is treated as an individual.

The Centre provides meals throughout the day including morning tea/breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
 
Opening times:
Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
