London Borough of HaringeyMeals on Wheels

What does it do?We deliver a daily meal to people in their own homes seven days a week, all year round, between 12 noon and 2pm

You can select which meals you would like from a list of over 40 choices. We have recently expanded the selection of dishes available, and cater for a wide range of cultural groups, including Asian, African-Caribbean, Cypriot and Kosher.
All meals are suitable for people with diabetes, and we can also provide menus for people on low-fat and lactose-free diets or anyone who requires puréed food.

Who can receive meals on wheels?
Anyone who lives in Haringey can apply for meals on wheels. A Social Services care manager will carry out an assessment and, if the eligibility criteria are met, you can receive a subsidised meal costing £3.20. A privately arranged meals service is available to all those not meeting the eligibility criteria.
