What does it do?

Day centre for People with Alzheimer's/Dementia

Who it is for?

Holybourne caters particularly for those older people who may have difficulties with their memory and concentration especially if this causes them anxiety.

Where it is available?

Local service (Wandsworth, Richmond upon Thames).

What it costs:

Financial Assesment made by social services and billed by Wandsworth. Daily Charge made for Lunch £3.40. Beverage charge £1.20 per day. Evening meal £1.40. Invoiced monthly.

How to access or apply for it:

Access by referral from Social Services.

A Social Worker or Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) can refer you to our Day Centre for attendance. A member of staff will then make a visit to your home in order to meet you, tell you about the Day Centre and to learn more about you and your interests and your worries. Following that visit you will be invited to come to Holybourne to look around. This will give you and/or your carer the opportunity to get a feel of the Centre and ask any questions you may have. The Social Worker or CPN will discuss with you how many days you wish to attend. We find that people usually like to attend for 2 to 3 days per week to begin with, although some people come as often as 6 or even 7 days per week.

The Day Centre is located in Holybourne Avenue (just off Danebury Avenue and Roehampton Lane).
