What does it do?

Specialist day centre for frail older people (60 for women, 65 for men). Social and assessment facility for clients or daily respite for carers. Provides ongoing monitoring of health and needs, referring on to other agencies where required. Offers "high care" but due to staff limitations and resources, has to limit level of care, particularly individuals with extreme high care needs e.g. cognitive, EMI, strokes etc.

What it costs:

Charges made by assessment, service users billed on quarterly basis. Social Services pay £26.33 per service user. Based on assessment of resources service user makes contribution billed 3 months in advance. Pay extra for lunch £3.90, beverages £1.80.
