What does it do?

South Asian Elderly Organisation (SAEO) operates a Day Centre 5 days a week which is staffed by a team of qualified staff and volunteers.

The aim of the project is to provide an environment where elderly people of South Asian origin can meet and participate in activities that are appropriate for their needs. In particular, SAEO offers: A nutritious culturally sensitive cooked lunch 5 days per week.

A support service of information and advice on a range of relevant issues such as welfare rights, benefits and housing issues.

Transport to and from the day centre for disabled service users who are unable to arrange independent transport. Support for carers.

Activities of interest to service users, including day trips.
