Telecare

What does it do?

Telecare is a service that enables people to live safely, securely and independently in their own home and community.

The service provides a community alarm service that is able to respond to an emergency as well as an system that includes detectors and monitors for movement, falls, fire and gas.

The telecare sensors will operate automatically in an accident, or will enable users to get help by pressing the telecare sensor button. The telecare monitoring centre, run by Redbridge Lifeline will receive these calls and a trained operator will organise the necessary response.

The centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year and provides reassurance, advice and support to users.
