What does it do?Day care services provide support for people living in the community, social inclusion and respite care for carers.
It offers practical and emotional support by providing a range of activities and facilities to help stay as independent as possible and improve and maintain quality of life.
Our day care centres are:
- Oaklea Lodge in Ilford
- Kielder Close in Hainault
- Elderberries in Woodford Green (frail elderly unit and dementia care unit)
- Downshall in Seven Kings
- Link Place and the Simon Green Training Centre in Hainault (for adults with a physical and/or sensory disability)
Each of our day care centres has its own individual character and offers a safe, comfortable and friendly environment where you can meet people, have lunch and get involved with a variety of social activities including:

- massages
- reflexology
- hairdressing
- arts and crafts
- entertainment
- outings and trips
- gardening
A midday meal is offered everyday with menus catering for different dietary and cultural requirements.
