What does it do?Someone from your local carers centre will meet with you and the person you care for and put together a plan. The plan will be kept on a confidential database ready to be acted on 365 days a year, 24 hours per day. There are many types of emergency that a carer may find themselves in, for example: - Being stuck in traffic
- Being rushed into hospital
- Serious illness
- You will be given a carer identification card and a key fob with an emergency number on it to let people such as police, ambulance etc know that you are a carer in the event of an emergency.
