What does it do?
Someone from your local carers centre will meet with you and the person you care for and put together a plan. The plan will be kept on a confidential database ready to be acted on 365 days a year, 24 hours per day.
There are many types of emergency that a carer may find themselves in, for example:
- Being stuck in traffic
- Being rushed into hospital
- Serious illness
- You will be given a carer identification card and a key fob with an emergency number on it to let people such as police, ambulance etc know that you are a carer in the event of an emergency.
Who it is for: The service is available to all carers living in Lancashire.
Where it is available:Local service covering: Burnley, Chorley, Fylde, Hyndburn, Lancaster, Pendle, Preston, Ribble Valley, Rossendale, South Ribble, West Lancashire, Wyre (Lancashire).
What it costs:The service is free of charge and available to all carers in Lancashire.
