What does it do?You can get support if you are an adult who lives in Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City) and:
  • are struggling to cope with daily tasks at home (for example, getting in and out of bed, personal care, cooking), or
  • have recently had an accident or illness, or
  • are worried about living at home alone.
If you think you need support at home contact us and tell us about your needs.

Our START service provide support on a short-term basis which can last for up to six weeks. The Short Term Assessment and Re-ablement Team (START) will agree with you the amount of support you get over this time.

If it looks like you need long-term support we will carry out an assessment to look at your social care needs.
