Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS)

What does it do?

The main roles of PALS are to:

  • provide confidential on-the-spot advice and support to patients, their families and carers
  • provide information on NHS services
  • listen to concerns, suggestions or queries
  • help sort out problems quickly on behalf of staff as well as patients, their families and carers
  • signpost to other sources of help
  • act as a catalyst for change and improvement.
