 | What does it do?We help to solve repair problems and guide the client through all stages of the work until it is completed. We will provide support as follows: · Identify what repairs, improvements or adaptations are needed. · Help with form filling and grant or loan applications · Increase income through benefit checks, charitable sources and energy efficiency advice · Help in choosing a builder, obtaining estimates and organising any work · Oversee the building work from start to finish, provide site visits and inspections and offer advice on completion. · Ensure appropriate documentation and administration procedures are in place. · Provide practical and moral support throughout the building process |
Who it is for: Anyone over 60 years of age or disabled or vulnerable who lives in their own home or privately rented property. | Where it is available: Local service covering: Alnwick, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Blyth Valley, Castle Morpeth, Tynedale, Wansbeck (Northumberland). | How to access or apply for it: Telephone or email us, as above. | What to expect then: A caseworker will make an appointment to visit you in your own home and assess any work that you require.
