 | What does it do?Ageing Well aims to improve the quality of later life, adding years to life and life to years. The Ageing Well Project is a part of Age UK North Staffordshire. The project aims to promote the well-being of all older people living in the Stoke-on-Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Staffordshire Moorlands areas and to make later life a fulfilling an enjoyable experience We work closely with colleagues in statutory and other voluntary sector organisations to improve services for older people and to enable them to fulfill their life potential. Activities we provide: - Gentle chair-based exercise
- Walking groups
- Walking stick ferrule exchanges
- Day trips
- Health sessions on: Healthy eating; Falls Prevention; Blood Pressure; Crime Prevention; Heart Start
- Tai Chi for people who are at risk of falling
- Gardening Group
- Theatre Trips

Who it is for: Ageing Well is a project that promotes better health for people aged 50 and over. | Ethnic / cultural aspects: Yes all group geared towards any ethnic or cultural groups | Where it is available: Local service covering: Cannock Chase, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Newcastle-under-Lyme, South Staffordshire, Stafford, Staffordshire Moorlands, Stoke-on-Trent, Tamworth (Staffordshire). All group are based in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire | What it costs: Gentle chair-based exercise groups there is small charge of £1.
