What does it do?Sheffield 50+ Older Peoples' Advisory Group is a non-party-political, independent, voluntary group democratically run by and for Older People in Sheffield. We are one of the most advanced municipal organisations for older people in the country. We are fully independent of the City Council and its partnerships but enjoy a unique relationship of mutual cooperation and respect with them. We have the power to influence, at the planning stage, policies for older people at City, Regional and National level. Membership is open to anyone over 50 who lives or works within the boundaries of the City of Sheffield but remember that we are a non-party-political, advisory group not an action group. |
