Care Options

Definition: EAC's national database of information about care homes

EAC's Care Options database includes descriptions of around 14,000 care homes in the UK that cater for older people. These include homes registered to provide personal care, and those that can also provide nursing. Whilst most homes provide long term care, some also provide short term and/or respite care. Many have specialisms, such as dementia care, and some have separate provision for people who are mentally infirm (sometimes known as EMI units).

As well as providing detailed factual information, Care Options includes a unique new lifestyle classification to help identify homes to match your own priorities and preferences. Search the Care Options database on this site for homes that will meet your needs and requirements.
