Cherry Barton was originally built in 1969 as a block of flats and bedsits with shared bathrooms. By the 1980s it was clear that such communal facilities were dated and did not meet the high standards we expect for our tenants. Our in-house improvements team converted the block into spacious, self-contained and modern flats.
In 2000, the rest of the building was completely refurbished, including a new heating system and lift. The most striking aspect of this refurbishment was the replacement of the flat roof with a pitched roof, improving not only aesthetic appeal but also accommodating two new flats.
Today, the flats benefit from low heating costs with an efficient communal gas boiler, a residents’ lounge, an on-site caretaker, residents’ laundry and private parking." Show less
