Show more "Lanchester Court, named after the Society's founder, Canon Charles Lanchester, is situated off Dereham Road between Old Palace Road and Adelaide Street a short distance west of the Inner Ring Road. It has dual access from both Old Palace Road and Adelaide Street. Buses run along Old Palace Road and Dereham Road providing easy access to the city centre.

This is the Society's second largest scheme, with a total of 62 units. There are 52 one-bedroom flats, 8 studio flats and 2 two-bedroom flats. However, in general 2-bedroom accommodation will only be allocated to couples who can show a health or similar need for the additional bedroom.
This scheme was established shortly after the second world war on the site of a vicarage. It comprises 4 distinct buildings built between 1948 and 2000. In 2000, one of the older blocks was demolished and rebuilt. The majority of the older blocks have been extensively modernised with new double glazed windows, fitted kitchens, bath/shower rooms and gas fired central heating. A small number of flats have Economy 7 electric heating. The flats mostly overlook and surround a lovely garden with the social room set at the centre." Show less
