It is situated near to Withington, Manchester. The development is named after former Vice Air-Marshall Michael Le Bas. Le Bas House consist of 49 apartments over three floors, 17 large one-bedroom apartments for two people and 32 smaller one-bedroom apartments for a single person. All have a separate kitchen and bathroom. Some of the apartments have been fitted with walk in showers.Le Bas House offers residents a large and well maintained communal garden and a car parking area. The main building has a conservatory, communal lounge, dining area and free Wi-Fi for all residents. In the summer, there are outside benches, tables and chairs where residents can socialise and enjoy the gardens. Regular social activities are held in the communal lounge. There is hairdressers facilities and a guest bedroom is available for visiting family and can be booked for a nominal charge.
Le Bas House has an Independent Living Coordinator on duty Monday to Friday except for public holidays. Outside these hours, Astraline's emergency call service and an out of hours repairs service are available. The building has lift access to all floors, a secure fob entry and exit system, an emergency call system in the apartments and a communal lounge.
Nearby amenities include a medical centre, a dentist surgery and an opticians all within a short walking distance. There are good transport links to Withington and Spire Hospitals, both of which are less than a mile away. Withington Village offers a tranquil setting of bespoke shops and restaurants and plenty of supermarkets. The Metro station is within a short walking distance and operates seven days a week with a tram service running every 12 minutes. There are several bus routes which can be reached within walking distance. Manchester City Centre is within easy reach and can provide some of the best museums, shops and restaurants in the North West.
