We have on the sheltered side of the building 10 studio flats and 27 one bedroom flats. There are 21 extra Care flats. 18 of these are large one bed roomed and the other 3 are 2 bed roomed. We have a twin bedded guest room with shower facilities, a hairdressing salon, laundry room and mobility scooter storage space.

Locally there are plenty of supermarkets, post office, town hall, theatre, leisure centre and various churches. Local transport is good with plenty of taxi's and buses which serve the local villages, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket. Shearman Court has well kept gardens, a large and small lounge where an array of activities take place daily.

Residents at the court take part in varied and regular social activities including bingo, days out, exercise classes, craft workshops and lunch clubs. These activities are supervised by the activities co-ordinator.

Our Court Manager Service is an important and integral part of Housing 21’s approach to supporting our residents. It is designed to offer support and security to the court and those residents on court who need it. The service is about promoting and encouraging individuals to maintain their independence in their own home.
