“The individual flatlets are specifically for older people who require temporary rehabilitive intermediate care, which provides them with care and support from care staff 24 hours a day. Flats are no longer let on a long term basis.

There is a Sheltered Housing Officer on duty 5 days a week between 9:00am and 5:00pm, whose main duty is to act as a facilitator to check that tenants are able to look after themselves.
The Sheltered Housing Officer’s main responsibilities are:
To deal with emergencies.
To ensure that the building and equipment is secure and in good order.
To encourage tenants to be as independent as possible.
To liaise with other agencies on behalf of tenants: family, Doctors and care agencies.
