Show more "Gretton Court, Egerton View, Melton Mowbray is a frail and elderly extra care scheme which is operated by Melton Borough Council for elderly people who wish to remain independent and live in a secure community.The scheme is linked to a two-way communications system with staff on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week for on- site care and support.
To be eligible for this scheme residents need to be assessed by adult social care as needing a minimum of 3 hours care per week and need to apply to Melton Borough Council to join the housing register. Daily contact is made with residents to check on their well-being and visits are arranged for the more vulnerable residents. The scheme comprises of 43 self-contained flats with their own kitchen, cloakroom with WC and hand wash basin. To meet the needs of assisted bathing the specialist bathing and showering facilities are shared.
On site there is a laundry room, communal lounge with large garden and seating area. A midday meal is provided on a daily basis in the communal dining area.
Various social events take place at the scheme including carpet bowls, film shows, church services, bingo and coffee mornings." Show less
