The care home has been designed to give residents maximum space, choice and luxury. All of the 60 bedrooms are spacious and have their own en-suite facilities plus quality furnishings and fittings, including a 24-hour nurse call system. Residents are welcome to bring their own items of furniture or pictures to make their rooms feel more like home.The downstairs bedrooms that overlook the secure landscaped gardens, each have their own patio door, so residents in these rooms will enjoy direct access to the outside. What’s more, the lounges upstairs all have balconies with seating, so residents can enjoy some fresh air on warmer days.
The two-storey home is divided into four separate suites, each with its own lounge, dining room, and quiet seating area. Experience, and research, has taught us that this design is particularly helpful for people living with dementia, as it creates a ‘community within a community’ atmosphere with the same, familiar faces and fewer distractions."
