There five separate wings, including the Bessie Parr Wing, the George
Smith Wing, the William Griffin Wing, the Barry Hodgman Wing and the
Freddie Cooper Wing. While the home has a lift to all floors in the
building, ideal for those unable to manage stairs, and a service lift
which runs separately to two of the home's floors.
The home is designed and furnished to ensure wheelchair access in all
rooms and bathrooms at the home have either a static bath or shower tray
large enough to accommodate lifting aids.
Charing House Care Home offers a range of specialist equipment designed
to support care for all clients. All resident rooms are fitted with a
nurse call system and some rooms have pressure mats which are linked to
the call system in place.
Rooms also have telephone and aerial points, and suite furniture - one
of which has a lockable facility should the client wish to maintain
safekeeping for personal effects." Show less
