Show more "Located in the quiet village of Sonning Common, in the heart of the Chilterns, Abbeycrest is one of Caring Homes’ newest care homes in Berkshire, offering exceptional residential, nursing and specialist dementia care.

Abbeycrest provides residents with a true Care Pathway by offering a full suite of residential, nursing and dedicated dementia care. As such, residents may rest safe in the knowledge that the home can cater for their care needs both now and in the future.

Abbeycrest Care Home’s dementia care provision has been designed to meet the University of Stirling’s standards, which are widely acknowledged as providing the best living environment for people living with dementia. Stirling’s Dementia Services Development Centre is renowned as the world leader in this field. The Stirling approach ensures that residents are able to move freely around the home, with bedrooms and communal areas appropriately laid out and clearly signposted to minimise confusion or disorientation. Each bedroom features a memory box by its front door, where mementos from a resident’s life help to personalise their room and also remind staff and visitors of the individual’s life story.

The home is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and has ISO9001/2000 and Hospitality Assured accreditation.
