“Moorlands was built as part of a two-year project to develop the site of MHA’s very first Home, Ryelands in Wallington. The aim was “to improve facilities for existing residents and provide care and support for more older people in the area.” The organisation therefore not only remodelled Ryelands itself, completely re-building the Home. It also built a block of 23 one- and two bedroom flats amidst the beautifully landscaped gardens adjacent to the Home. The flats were built to a high specification, including fully fitted kitchens. Additionally, residents are able to relax and socialise in a comfortable communal lounge where an adjacent kitchen area provides simple catering facilities.
