“The Foundation of St. Anne's began in 1876 in Queens Drive, Dalston. Later the Little Sisters built a Home in Manor Road. The Victorian building which provided a Home for so many elderly people since 1876 was becoming increasingly expensive to maintain and was not conducive to a refurbishment programme. The building was demolished in 2005 and the present Home was built on the existing site. It was officially opened on 19th March 2009 by His Eminence Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor....” show more
