The new Care Home will be opened by the end of the year, and will provide luxury accommodation for up to 46 residents. Greathed is a well known property sue to it's past associations with the Royal family. Its illustrious hiatory can be traced back to 1430, when it was simply known as "House on the Hill".This year, the Home has been adapted to provide luxurious accommodation for elderly nursing clients. Many of the bedrooms are mini-suites, and provide unrivalled views of the countryside. All rooms are decorated to a high standard and have their own showers, freeview televisions and private phones. There is a choice of 3 lounges and a dining room as well as many other facilities such as hairdressing salon.
Initially, the Manor will be catering for clients needing palliative, rehabilitative and convalescence care, as well as elderly persons requiing nursing care both on short term and continuing basis.
Greathed Manor will be run by Pressbeau Ltd, a care operator for the last 25 years and owner of 4 other homes. The company encourages families and the community to participate as much as possible.
