Comments about West Port

My mum was in for respite in Nov 2015 and LOVED IT. And trust me that amazing. I was so impressed I contacted the social work the next day and got her booked in for 2016. I am absolutely distraught that you are closing down this excellent facility. It was one of the best. Please reconsider your decision?14/03/2016Aileen Shirley (relative of someone who lives/lived here)reply

My mother was initially very unhappy about going the respite unit, but actually left in tears of happiness as she had such an excellent time and was sorry to leave. The staff were fantastic and my mother advised they could not do more for her. Each of the staff are to be commended and I cannot praise the unit highly enough.21/02/2015Marina (relative of someone who lives/lived here)reply

My mum had her first stay in respite at West Port and we were very worried as my mum has advanced Alzheimer's and does require a lot of care. My mum loved it there, my sister June and I found the place extremely impressive. It was very welcoming, clean and homely. The staff we met, who were June, Rhona and Carol were incredibly professional and the friendliest people you could meet. They went all out to ensure my mum was happy, safe and contented. I would recommend West Port very highly and would like to thank the staff so very much for looking after my mum so well. Marks out of 10 - 11 :-) 09/09/2014Rhona (relative of someone who lives/lived here)reply
