Show more "Abbeyfield House is a retirement house offering sheltered housing to older people in Wendover. Built in 1980, we have 18 studio rooms which come unfurnished, allowing you to personalise your room and make it feel like home from the moment you move in.

We have large, bright en-suites and kitchenettes in every room - some residents say "it's like living in a hotel, I love it!". If you would like to make any adjustments to your room when you move in, just chat to our staff who can assist.

Completing our house is a communal dining room, lounge, garden and piano room which residents are welcome to use at their leisure - perhaps to read a book, complete a crossword or entertain visiting family and friends. We often come together in this space to enjoy board games, crafts and share hobbies.

Whilst we are very much a family at Abbeyfield House, we encourage our residents to remain as independent as possible. We are on hand to support any and all decisions you make about the way you want to live your life.

Our house has a large car park, meaning you bring your car with you and explore Wendover at your leisure. We are fortunate to be situated in the heart of Wendover, famous for its markets and boutique shops. We are just a short walk from fabulous restaurants, pubs, bakeries, organic veg shops and of course, the chocolatier!

If you're a foodie, you'll love living at Abbeyfield House as our dedicated cooks provide lunch and dinner everyday. Our menu is ever-changing and often made in consultation with residents so you're sure to have your favourite meals or desserts appear regularly. We can cater for dietary requirements, just ask!"
