Living at home can become harder as you get older. But choosing to move into supported living accommodation doesn't have to mean losing your independence. In fact, many of our residents tell us it feels like a new beginning.

Show more "Abbeyfield Swansea is a Victorian property that was converted from a family home and became an Abbeyfield House during the 1990's when a voluntary committee acquired the house for older people to live with the companionship of others.

Located in Swansea, you get the best of both worlds, with stunning countryside, a five mile stretch of sandy beaches and a bustling and vibrant town centre. Abbeyfield Swansea is a retirement home offering sheltered housing and has three rooms with en-suite facilities, three rooms which have shared bathroom facilities and a one bedroom flat on the top floor.

Our rooms come unfurnished to allow you to personalise it and make it feel like home. Bring your favourite pieces of furniture, trinkets and cherished photos to make it a home from home.

We have a beautiful and large airy lounge which overlooks Swansea Bay, the ideal location for relaxing and watching the world go by, or catching up with friends and family. We have a separate dining room where our residents like to come together to share wonderful home cooked meals.

Our lovely garden at the rear of the house was transformed by a grant from Sainsbury's where we now have a stunning sun drenched paved area surrounded by raised beds for the residents to enjoy growing flowers and vegetables. It's a wonderful place to sit and relax, whiling away the hours in the sunshine or sitting chatting to get to know the other residents with a refreshing drink on hand.

Our home offers laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, has been fitted with a stairlift and operates a community alarm system that is monitored twenty four hours a day.

Abbeyfield Swansea is in a great location, we're not far from The Uplands, which has a thriving local shopping area which is filled with independent shops and small restaurants. For those wishing to travel around and explore we're on a local bus route and only one mile away from the city centre and the main train station. The city centre and the beach are also within walking distance of the house." Show less
