Owner's description

“Craw Wood care home was purpose-built to provide 24-hour care for older people with dementia. The service opened in 1996 in partnership with Health and Social Work to meet the housing and care needs of older people with severe dementia. The service aims to maximise the quality of life of residents by providing a homely setting and consistent care to meet the physical, domestic, personal and social needs of each resident. Every effort is made to maintain the dignity and individuality of all residents, recognising their rights to personal choice, self expression, freedom and privacy.

Craw Wood consists of three houses, each with its own living/dining room, kitchen, a large bathroom and toilet. The houses are grouped around a landscaped garden and there is a pleasant conservatory for the use of all residents....” show more
