“Sycamore House is a purpose built residential home, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Situated on the main road, approximately two miles north of the city centre, it is well served by public transport and is close to plenty of local shops including banks, a post office, chemists and a supermarket, as well as community facilities and churches. The home has ample parking.
We have 31 registered places and cater for the needs of both male and female residents over the age of 65. Care is provided for older people who may experience hearing or visual impairment, and for people who experience difficulties associated with frailty and conditions such as Parkinson's disease or Stroke. Those who feel lonely will find safety and comfort from the friendly atmosphere of the home and companionship from the other residents.
Accommodation is provided over three floors and two lifts provide access to all levels. All areas of the home are accessible to those who have limited or restricted mobility. Ramps at the front and rear of the building provide wheelchair access.
Meal times are relaxed and unhurried. There is a varied and appealing menu, offering a high standard of meals. Breakfast is served to residents in their rooms, allowing a relaxed and informal start to the day.
