Show more "Abbotsford Glenrothes was built in 1993 following several years of exploring designs and principles of good practice which would best meet the needs of people with dementia. The Nursing Home provides individual rooms with en-suite toilets for 40 residents and the homely atmosphere is enhanced by the four smaller units, Harris, Mull, Skye and Lewis. Each ‘house’ creates an extended family for ten residents with their own lounge, kitchen and dining area. The Nursing Home is situated in the quiet residential area of Strathburn Drive providing residents with a secure, private and well developed gardens which are totally enclosed for safety.The home can be easily reached by public transport from the town centre. Buses leave the town centre every half hour during the day and stops at the main entrance, a few yards from the Nursing Home. Parking is available in the grounds of the Home for those traveling by car. The Kingdom Centre provides residents with a range of cafés, pubs and shops as well as the Rothes Halls Theatre for an evening of entertainment." Show less
