We want our resident’s stay with us to be a continuation of family life and encourage visitors to call whenever possible. Everyone is invited to join us for social occasions and special events. We have an active social calendar with daily therapeutic activities.
June, the home manager, has an NVQ level 5 in management and a wealth of experience in dementia care. The home has a highly motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated, caring team whose vision is to provide residents with individualised holistic care, delivered within a secure, relaxing, homely and conducive environment, in which their physical and psychological care, wellbeing and comfort are of prime importance to both staff and management. We are committed to the training and development of our staff , which enhances the the quality of life for our residents. Staff are CRB and ISA checked and receive a comprehensive induction. All complete mandatory training and either hold or are working towards their NVQ level 2 and/or 3 in Health and Social Care. Each member of staff is fully supervised and has an individual learning and development plan which ensures they are fully competent to deliver the highest standard of care in a professional manner.
The whole team sees each person as an individual with a unique background. Our ethos is for person centered, rather than condition centered care and our Recreational Therapeutic Lead is dedicated to researching the person’s unique background and helping the resident in making their life story books and boards, which assist the team in delivering person centered care."
