The scheme is made up of 23 self-contained one and two bedroom apartments and is only accessible through a door entry system for safety and security.
The village offers a good range of amenities including a small supermarket, Post Office, butcher, library, doctors, cafes and independent shops. There are direct bus routes from the village to Preston,
Lytham St Annes and Kirkham, and a scenic route through the Fylde villages to Blackpool. There is a train station at Kirkham.
The scheme benefits from a scheme manager service to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents and to provide a link with doctors, families, friends and the support services.
As an Extra Care scheme Croft Court benefits from a team of care staff who are based on site throughout the day and provide a floating service at night. In most cases this alleviates the need to immediately go into hospital or residential care when your condition becomes such that you cannot manage independently. The scheme is also monitored by the Control Centre and should an emergency arise they can be contacted by pulling the red intercom cord or pressing a pendant. This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
