In 1986 it was converted into a care home for older people and a purpose-built facility was added providing specialist care for residents with dementia. Recently, Adlington has undergone an extensive renovation program to ensure that it continues to provide an excellent home for its residents.

Comments about Adlington Manor

My mother in law first came to Adlington Manor for respite and when her dementia became too hard for us to live with, we knew she was going into the right place as a resident. The home is always clean and we have been told that we can go at any time which shows the excellent care is constant. We are always met by smiling, friendly faces and walk into a happy, relaxed atmosphere. Add to that the menu that you would get in the best hotels and the beautiful surroundings, i.e.horses in fields, and mother in law loves to watch these from her window, it makes for a lovely home. Of course, mum in law didn't want to go in a home, and it was upsetting to have to do it, but the staff, in particular Bev and Daniel, eased us through it, which we are grateful for.22/07/2014Joy (relative of someone who lives/lived here)reply
