Manager’s description:	Purpose built in 1989 and extended in 1993 on the site of Maerdy House in Wind Street, the home was the first nursing home in the Cynon Valley. General nursing care is provided for 50 adults over the age of 18 with residential care provided for eight elderly frail residents. The Beeches has a fresh modern appearance with an ongoing programme of maintenance and decoration. Rooms are individually furnished and decorated and patients are encouraged to bring in their own ornaments, pictures and small items of furniture.
