Show more "Elmhurst Nursing Home is a purpose built home, situated in the small village of Prees, just on the border of the picturesque market town of Whitchurch, Shropshire. It provides professional nursing care and accommodation for Older Adults and Older Adults with Dementia.Elmhurst Nursing Home have recently opened a 15 bed extension specialising in providing Residential and Nursing services to Older Adults with Dementia. The home is currently registered for 45 residents, but has recently been awarded planning permission to extend the home further to accommodate up to 100 Older Adults. We aim to bring specialised services into the area, such as care and support for Older Adults with Acquired Brain Injuries, Learning Disabilities and services for Older Adults who require reablement and intermediate care.
The home comprises communal lounge areas, dining room, on site kitchen and on site laundry facilities. We have Cooks that prepare your meals fresh everyday and a Housekeeping team who take care of all your laundry and domestic requirements.
Personalisation is highly encouraged at Elmhurst Nursing Home. Whether it’s down to the clothes you wear or the food you eat, the decision is entirely yours. A personalised care plan will be created on admission which is centred on your personal preferences. We even encourage you to tell us how you want your room to look. All of our neutrally decorated bedrooms are furnished as standard, but if you have furniture or ornaments that you wish to bring with you, we can accommodate for that. We also have a team of maintenance staff who are more than happy to hang any pictures or photos for you, and even change the colour of your room if you wish.
Elmhurst Nursing Home is situated in the heart of the beautiful North Shropshire countryside. With vast panoramic views of the surrounding hills and fields, there is no doubt that the home is set in an attractive location. Being so close to the village of Prees, local amenities are on hand, and the historic market town of Whitchurch is just a short drive away. Nestled between the A41 and A49, Elmhurst is easily accessible for friends and family that wish to visit.
