Show more "Moorland House, located on Station Road in the Derbyshire village of Hathersage, opened in 1949. Built of Derbyshire stone, the house was first extended in 1983, and in April 2006 further refurbishment work was completed, improving the already existing rooms and adding a new nursing wing for 20 people. This was opened in 2007 by the President Designate for the Methodist Conference, the Revd. Dr Martin Atkins. The Home now has 48 places providing both residential and nursing care. All rooms have en suite facilities.
The location, writes the Home’s manager, enjoys panoramic views of the Peak National Park “and offers a quiet, relaxing pace of life.” But in the end, a Home is more than simply its location. It’s the hard work of the staff, writes one resident, that makes everyone “feel at home. Their loving care is very much appreciated.”" Show less
