Aranlaw House is the only care home specialising in mental health and Dementia care in Bournemouth & Poole that has achieved Outstanding in all 5 areas. The home has maintained the Outstanding level that was awarded by the CQC in March 2017, putting it in the top one per cent of care homes across the UK.
The home provides Poole’s premier dementia care service in a care home setting and residential care and support to ladies and gentleman over the age of 60.
People who are experiencing memory problems. They might sometimes be a bit muddled or confused and find difficulties with getting things organised. Sometimes they know something is not quite right, but they are not sure exactly why this is and it can make them anxious. This can be very frustrating and they may be finding life difficult to manage without some help.
As well as clients with dementia, they can also provide additional support to help with the problems sometimes associated with old age. For instance, some people need help with walking, getting dressed or undressed or require assistance with their meals. Carers are there to help and support people whatever their needs may be."
