Show more "Doveridge Care Home is situated in the friendly town of Colyton, also known as the most rebellious town in Devon. The building itself was originally a farm house before it was adapted in to a home for the elderly. Doveridge was bought by Doveleigh Care Ltd in 1996 who since extended it to its present size.Doveridge was Doveleigh Care Ltd first home when we were looking to initially set up anywhere in the UK. We immediately fell in love with the small home in Colyton (which was originally only 13 beds) and the lovely, friendly caring atmosphere that the home seemed bathed in. Throughout all the development and refurbishment at Doveridge, the company strived to keep hold of that lovely atmosphere and we like to think that they have succeeded, not just because of the environment we have created,but also because of the excellent nature of the care staff that we have been lucky enough to employ over the years. Though not outwardly as grand as our other two homes in the group, Doveridge remains a very warm and welcoming, homely place to be. Doveridge specialises in dementia care and this means that the relaxed homely environment is ideally suited to our residents’ needs." Show less
