It offers a warm, caring environment and delivers person-centred care based on residents’ individual needs. The team working at the home are highly committed in caring for older people, and respect the individual choices and decisions that residents make.There are 40 single bedrooms. All rooms have television points. There are a number of pleasant lounge areas throughout the home – one of these is for the use of residents who wish to smoke and who were living in the home prior to 1 March 2007. All other lounges are smoke free. There is also a day-care lounge. At least one lounge is fitted with a hearing loop, a discreet device to improve sound reception and aid those with hearing difficulties. Residents can choose to eat in one of a number of dining rooms or in their own room if they prefer. Leycester House is set within spacious grounds and there are pleasant gardens and a new raised patio for residents’ use. All areas are wheelchair accessible." Show less
