An activities co-ordinator attends for six hours each day Monday to Friday. The home shares the use of a mini bus and trips out to local places of interest. Karaoke sessions with dancing are held once and sometimes twice each week. Other activities include board games, outdoor games, quizzes, reminiscence sessions visits from local dancers and interactivity with farm animals.The staff are trained to engage service users in meaningful activities and encourage individuals to maintain their life skills.Service user's individual interests and hobbies will be taken into account and every effort made to assist in these wherever possible. All interest parties are encouraged to support and be involved in the residents care. Monthly carer's and residents meetings are held and we actively encourage input from family, friends and next of kin's." Show less
