Originally the only village shop, it stands in the ideal position on the village green in the hub of the village. The pub, (also a hotel), the chapel, the hairdressers and other shops are all around. The lounges at St. Leonards were deliberately designed to be at the front of the building so the residents could be in contact with the bustle of everyday life outside.
